The Rail Readers Book Club meets at the Las Cruces Railroad Museum at 11:00 am on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. On March 19 we will discuss The Iron Rail, written by Edward Marston.
This 4th book in the Railway Detective series follows Detective Robert Colbeck and Sergeant Leeming as they investigate a murder that ties three rivals together in the Derby Day races. Owners Brian Dowd, Hamilton Fido and Lord Hendry are all victims in various violent acts, including the murder of a stable hand. Each owner blames the other two. The tension mounts as Derby Day approaches, and Colbeck and Leeming reveal the identity of the perpetrator.
The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla Street, at the intersection of Las Cruces Ave.
