The Las Cruces Railroad museum presents a variety of programs during February that are sure to interest different members of the family. Choose an activity that fits your interests, and enjoy it in our historic museum.
The monthly Brown Bag Lecture will be presented at 12pm on February 13 by Bob Dockendorf, Director of the War Eagles Museum in Santa Teresa. If you haven’t visited this out-of-the way museum, this is a great opportunity to learn about their collections and exhibits.
Rail Readers Book Club meets at 11am on February 21 to discuss Peril on the Royal Train by Edward Marston. Copies of this book are available for loan from the museum.
There will be three Story Times for children in February, all beginning at 11am. On February 3 and 17, children of all ages can listen to a story and complete a related craft. On February 8, Mrs. Prickett and her charming puppets will engage pre-school children with a book and activity.
The Dona Ana Modular Railroad Club will have their H-O scale model trains running all day February 15-17. Come talk to experts about creating and running model trains.
Adults who enjoy coloring can come between 10am – 12pm on February 9 and 23. This is a chance to enjoy socializing with other adults while expressing yourself creatively. Bring your own supplies or use our coloring pages and colored pencils.
Family Game Day is from 10am – 12pm on Saturday, February 10. Challenge your friends to a game of dominoes, practice your hand-eye coordination with “Cup and Ball Toss”, and play a variety of games that have entertained families for centuries.
