Barbara Hubbard: Bringing Nashville to Las Cruces, April 1 Reception

The Branigan Cultural Center presents Barbara Hubbard: Bringing Nashville to Las Cruces, an exhibit celebrating the achievements of Las Cruces’ own nationally-recognized entertainment promoter, Barbara Hubbard. The exhibit opens Friday, April 1, and will be on display through Saturday, May 21, 2016. An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 1, from 5pm to 7pm.

The exhibit will feature photographs that document Hubbard’s achievements as a nationally-recognized music promoter and philanthropist. Also on display will be early photographs of some of the many country music stars with whom Hubbard worked with and developed relationships with over the years.

Barbara Hubbard began her career at NMSU in 1969 and soon began booking shows at the Pan American Center. Throughout her career Hubbard booked thousands of shows with entertainers from all genres, and developed lasting friendships and a positive reputation. She created a scholarship fund for students wishing to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, and has been recognized by the music industry time and time again. She continues to work to bring great entertainment to our area and to provide scholarships and support to students.

The museum is located at 501 North Main Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm, Thursday from 10am to 8pm, and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm.
