STEAMpunk for Kids! Eleanor Ormerod, Saturday, June 16, 11:45 AM, MoNaS

 Witness the history of scientific discovery at the Museum of Nature and Science’s “STEAMpunk” program on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 11:45am-12:45pm. This month we will focus on 19th century English entomologist, Eleanor Ormerod.

During this one-hour program, children ages 7-12 will explore the work of Eleanor Ormerod as an entomologist and her contributions to understanding agricultural pests. Participants will learn to make and document observations of insects with language and art.


Admission to the Museum of Nature and Science is free. The museum is located at 411 North Main Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm. and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm. For additional information, visit the website at or call 575.522.3120.
