Go back in time to 1700 AD to delve into the work of Leonardo Fibonacci at “STEAMpunk” on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 11:45 am-12:45 pm at the Museum of Nature and Science. Learn about Fibonacci’s studies and techniques that led us to many mathematical principles still used today.

During this one-hour session participants will learn about one of the world’s greatest mathematicians and participate in a hands-on activity to further their knowledge on the principles that came from his lifelong dedication to the subject of math. Participants will also learn about the life and goals of Leonardo Fibonacci through a short presentation followed by an art project that uncovers the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence.

Admission to the Museum of Nature and Science is free. The museum is located at 411 North Main Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm. and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm. For additional information, visit the website at: or call 575.522.3120.
