Pinhole Camera Day Workshop, Saturday, April 23

April 22, 2016

Call and register today! 575.541.2137

Celebrate Pinhole Camera Day at the Museum of Nature and Science!

Pinhole cameras are basic, lens-free cameras that use a small pinhole to project an inverted image at the back of the camera. Larger pinholes allow for brighter images but reduce the focus sharpness of the images.

On Saturday, April 23, at 2:00pm, workshop participants will have the opportunity to use a pinhole viewer to practice seeing the inverted images, then take photos outside. Photographs will be developed and available to take home. The workshop is free, but supplies are limited. Participants must be aged 12 or older. Please visit the museum or call 575.541.2137 to register.

The museum is located at 411 North Main St. and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4:30pm, Thursday from 10am to 8pm, and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm.  For additional information, visit the website at: http://las-cruces.org/museums or call 575-522-3120.

If you need an accommodation for a disability to enable you to fully participate in this event please contact the museum 48 hours prior to the event.
