Student Workshop on Bones

April 19, 2015

Museum of Nature & Science LogoJoin the Museum of Nature & Science on Saturday May 2 at 1pm for a special presentation about bones by one of their work study students, Joseph Moreno. This student workshop is free and open to all ages.

The skeletal system is something we use every day without thinking much about, but it actually does a lot more than simply hold your body upright. In fact, it’s used differently by every animal that has one! We will explore the many forms and features of the skeleton and how they’re used by both humans and our fellow animals. Like the rest of our body, our skeleton grows with us and can also suffer from diseases. Learn how to keep your bones healthy and discover some of the weirder facts about bones! A hands-on activity will be available for younger participants.

The museum is located at 411 North Main Street and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  For additional information, visit the website at:
