Brown Bag Lunch Lecture – Hatch Public Library: Past and Future

April 2, 2014

Railroad Museum LogoHatch Public Library Director Lisa Neal will share her research on the history of the Hatch library and the community it serves during a Brown Bag Lecture at the Las Cruces Railroad Museum on Tuesday, April 8 at 12pm.

The Hatch library is housed in a retired Santa Fe Railroad depot. It was moved off the railroad line and turned into the library years ago. Many of the depot’s original artifacts are housed in the library. A native of Hatch with a passion for local history, Neal believes it is very important that visitors understand the building’s history. Neal is currently working on a degree in Library Sciences. She is involved in the Hatch Chamber of Commerce, has served on the Chile Festival Committee, and is active in 4-H.

Light refreshments served. For more information, please call 647-4480. The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla Street, at the intersection of Las Cruces Ave.
